1. Introduction
Vision Sim (the "App") is an educational tool provided by Kyohei Takeshita (the "Service Provider") that helps users understand visual impairments by experiencing how they may appear. We treat the protection of user privacy as our top priority and operate the App in accordance with the policy below.
Core principles of the App:
- We do not collect any personal information.
- Camera footage is processed only on the device and is never sent to any external server.
- No account registration or login is required.
- The App contains no advertising, in-app purchases, or analytics tools.
2. Information We Collect
The App does not collect any personal information from users.
3. Handling of Camera Footage
The App accesses the device camera in order to provide its simulation features. Camera footage is handled as follows:
- Camera footage is processed in real time on the device.
- Camera footage is never transmitted to any external server.
- Camera footage is not stored (only when the user taps the shutter button is the resulting image saved to the user's photo library).
4. Handling of Captured Images
Simulation images captured via the in-app shutter button are saved to the photo library on the user's device.
- Saved images remain entirely under the user's control.
- The App does not transmit captured images to any external party.
- If the user uses the share feature, the image is sent via the OS-standard share sheet to the app the user selects. In that case, the privacy policy of the destination app applies.
5. Permissions
The App requests the following permissions. They are used only when the corresponding feature is in use.
- Camera: Real-time display of visual impairment simulations.
- Photo Library (Add Photos Only): Saving captured simulation images.
6. Settings Data Stored on the Device
To improve user convenience, the App stores the following settings data only on the device (no external transmission).
- Onboarding completion flag
- Selected vision symptom type
- Simulation parameter settings for each vision symptom
- Front camera usage setting, watermark setting, etc.
This data is removed when the App is uninstalled.
7. Provision to Third Parties
The App does not provide user information to any third party.
8. Analytics Tools
The App currently does not use any analytics tools.
If we introduce a tool such as Firebase Analytics in the future, we will update this policy and notify users before the tool is enabled.

- The developer assumes no liability for any damages arising from the use of the App.
11. User Rights
The App does not collect personal information, but the following rights are guaranteed.
- Uninstalling the App will delete all settings data stored on the device.
- Captured images saved to the photo library can be deleted by the user at any time.
12. Changes to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as needed. If significant changes are made, we will notify users in the App or on this page.
